OUR MISSION

Yeshivas Tiferes Yaacov opened almost 40 years ago, introducing the concept of providing an intermediate stage between school and the freedom and independence typically found at a ישיבה גדולה. The objective was, and indeed remains, to, with care, compassion and understanding, introduce the young תלמידים to the demands of full-time ישיבה style learning, allowing them to acclimatize at their own pace under the watchful eye of dedicated Rebbeim.
 
With all the many years of experience, together with an awareness of the pressures of contemporary society, Tiferes Yaacov continues to offer its large student-body small personalized Shiurim. By constantly increasing the faculty number, the ratio of Rebbe to Talmidim remains high, allowing each boy the opportunity to gain a personal connection and enduring relationship with his mentor. Thus the ישיבה can maintain the unparalleled advantages of a ליבידיקע and גישמקע רוח התורה easier generated in a large, vibrant בית המדרש, in addition to the greater variety of chavruso options, without compromising on the feeling of individuality more typical to a smaller establishment.    
 
Every age presents its unique challenges, and the increasingly alluring and pernicious nature of secular society makes it imperative that a boy should be happy and fulfilled, solid in his אמונה and enthusiastic in his identity as a member of ממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש.
  
בסייעתא דשמיא, the Tiferes Yaacov has earned a reputation as a place where a talmid feels privileged to be part of a dynamic and vibrant Chaburo  with an exceptionally high standard of learning. The strong קשר still felt by the hundreds of alumni stretching over decades, attests to the warmth and homely atmosphere prevalent at Tiferes Yaacov. Our newly acquired premises - the previous Swallow Hotel building, which is being newly out-fitted as a purposely designed all-encompassing ישיבה campus, will further enhance Tiferes Yaacov experience.
